On June 13th at 1524 hours, Watch Hill Fire responded to a report of a tractor trailer truck entangled in the power lines at the intersection of Bay Street and Larkin Road. Car 101 was on scene immediately after witnessing the incident and reported that the primary lines were entangled in the cab of the truck and the secondary lines and utilty lines were down as well. He also reported that the driver was unable to exit the vehicle due to the power lines contacting the cab and blocking the exits. The Chief advised the driver to remain in the truck and National Grid was requested for a Priority One Response. Watch Hill Fire Police Officers secured the area and controlled traffic throughout the incident until the power lines were disconnected and the driver was safely removed from the truck.
