Watch Hill Ladder 104 was requested mutual aid to the Westerly Fire District on Thursday Morning to provide coverage to their district while they operated at a 2nd Alarm structure fire. Ladder 104 reported to Westerly Station #2 on Beach Street while Dunn's Corner's Engine 6 covered Westerly Station #1 in the downtown area per the Second Alarm run card. The Watch Hill Fire crew, led by Lieutenant Patrick Majeika, were on assignment for just under an hour before being returned with thanks by Westerly's Incident Command.

As for the fire, members of the Westerly RI and Pawcatuck CT Departments made a "good stop" containing a fire in an appartment building on School Street. There were no injuries reported to the citzens or to the dedicated volunteer firefighters from two states. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Rhode Island Division of the State Fire Marshal.

We are always happy to support our neighbors under our mutual aid agreements between the various agencies. All of our local departments proudly work closely together and assist each other in any way requested.
