| Approximately four hundred residents and guests attended the Watch Hill Fire Department Annual Fire Prevention and Safety Night on Wednesday evening. Our guests were treated to pizza and other refreshments as they met with Watch Hill firefighters, viewed the educational displays, and met Smokey Bear, Sparky the Fire Dog, and his southern cousin Blaze the Fire Dog. The many adults and children in attendance were able to learn about fire prevention, extinguish a fire using a fire extinguisher training prop, spray a real firefighters hose line, and view a collection of antique fire trucks from throughout the state.
Everyone appeared to have a very enjoyable evening!
Our appreciation is extended to Rebecca Schilke for providing the pictures! |
