| This morning, Chief Reall and Assistant Chief Koretski had the privilege of joining fellow public safety leaders, elected officials, and members of the maritime community underway aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Tall Ship, the “Eagle” in and around Newport Harbor. The Eagle, is a 295-foot barque built in 1936, serves as the U.S. Coast Guard's training vessel for future officers and is currently touring as part of the America 250 celebration. The ship is now docked in Newport Harbor throughout this weekend. This unique opportunity was made possible through our ongoing partnership with the Narragansett Bay Marine Task Force, where we work together to provide coordinated marine emergency response coverage throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our sincere thanks to the United States Coast Guard for their outstanding hospitality. We are grateful for the strong partnerships that help keep our waters and communities safe. |
