The Watch Hill Fire Department Chaplain, the Reverend Dr. Clayton A. Lord, also known to us as “Cal”, was appointed as the associate chaplain for the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs (RIAFC).

Cal will assist the Association’s Chaplain, Father Gary Lemery, in providing spiritual care to the Associations members upon the retirement of their long time association chaplain, Father Mike Leckie.

He will lead prayers at their monthly meetings and will serve as a resource to departments should there be an incident requiring the assistance of a Chaplain.

Cal has taken extensive training in both Rhode Island and Connecticut on Critical Incident Stress Management to assist members of public safety or those members of the public in need.

Cal is also a member of the National Federation of Fire Chaplains and serves as a Chaplain for the Stonington Police Department.
