All of the local first response agencies including the Watch Hill Fire Department, the Misquamicut Fire Department, the Dunn's Corners Fire Department, and the Westerly Fire Department as well as The Westerly Ambulance Corps , the Westerly Police Department, and the Westerly Emergency Management Agency are strongly encouraging all residents and visitors to take steps to Help Us Help You!

During this difficult time we are reminding you that WE ARE HERE FOR YOU and we are asking you to PLEASE STAY HOME FOR US!

The essential charge of the Watch Hill Fire District is to ensure the safety and survival of the residents and guests of our community.

We are following explicit regulations to combat the spread of the Covid 19 virus in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines. These include limiting the number of people at the firehouse at any one time, continually washing with soap or hand sanitizers, requiring the use of personal protective gloves and masks, enforcing social and physical distancing measures, and continually cleaning and disinfecting the station, tools and equipment.

Our firefighters will continue to respond to all alarms and emergency situations to the best of our ability. At this time, the Watch Hill Fire Department’s response time and emergency service capability are not compromised and all necessary personnel are being deployed as needed.

Remember, WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! PLEASE STAY HOME FOR US!
