WHFD Responds to Boat in Distress

The members of the Watch Hill Fire Department together with assets from the United States Coast Guard responded to a report of a 28-foot vessel taking on water at approximately 9:30 PM on July 5th. Upon arrival the members of the WHFD's ATV unit were able to locate the boat and its passengers and bring them safely ashore. The members of the department provided comfort and warmth to the stranded boat occupants until arrangements could be made to return them home.
