| The Watch Hill Fire Department conducted a public fire extinguisher training seminar for eighteen local residents. The one hour seminar included a brief lecture with two training videos followed by live fire demonstrations and individual practical applications.
The participating students, ranging in age from eight years old to sixty-eight years old, all indicated that the seminar was very informative and very educational.
Special thanks to Deputy Chief Robert Peacock for teaching the class, Assistant Chief Scott Harold and Lieutenant Lance Murphy for acting as safety officers, Captain Jane Perkins and Lieutenant Travis Cox for preparing the demonstrations, and Firefighters Christopher Koretski and Emily Moorehead for serving as the standby safety crew. |
