Four members of the Watch Hill Fire Department were profiled in an article in the Westerly Sun in recognition of their efforts and the awards that they received during the department's annual Awards Banquet at the Venice restaurant. The annual event is a time to thank each of our members and their families for the time and sacrifice that they all put in throughout the previous year. Among those honored were:

Firefighter of the Year: Deputy Chief Jason Simmons
Officer of the Year: Captain Jane Perkins
Member of the Year: Firefighter Raymond Elterich
Carl Greene Award: Lieutenant Christopher Koretski

Also honored was George and Joanne Nicholas, the parents of Firefighter James Nicholas, whose family was presented with the Charles Desillier Award for their contribution and support for the fire department this past year.

As always, a special thank you to all of our members for their efforts!
